JAMMU, May 6: The Election Commission Non Gazetted Employees Union Information Department Kashmir conducted election in which the union unanimously elected Showkat Ajmed Khan as union president while Bilal Ahmed Bhat elected as general secretary.
Joint Director Information, Deputy Director Information (PR) Kashmir, Field Publicity office Srinagar, Cultural Unit Srinagar, Photo Unit Srinagar, District Information Centre, Baramulla, Anantnag, Kupwara, Budgam Pulwama all participated in the election process.
On this occasion the District President of District Information Baramulla, Bashir Ahmed Sofi, District Information, District President Pluwama, Mohammad Yoqub Bhat, District President, District Information Anantnag, Abdul Hamid Bhat, District President District Information Kupwara, District President District Information Budgam, and Executive Member, Cultural Unit Srinagar, Ghulam Ahmed Wani and Photo Unit Srinagar, Mukthar Ahmed Beigh were also present.
Earlier election Committee had issued a notification for conducting of union election which was held on May 5, 2011
