| CRPF head constable injured in grenade attack | | | SRINAGAR, NOV 19 A Head Constable of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was injured after militants hurled a grenade at a check-point set up by security personnel in downtown city this afternoon, a CRPF spokesman said.
Militants hurled the grenade at the 'naka' party while it was checking vehicles in Kawdara locality, he added. In the ensuing explosion, the Head Constable received splinter injuries and was hospitalised.
The militants fled taking advantage of panic that followed the blast, he said.
The CRPF men immediately cordoned off the area and launched a hunt to nab the militants involved in the attack, the spokesman said.
No no militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
