Police arrests 3 in Hawala case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, May 6: Police on Friday arrested three persons who were allegedly supplying funds to militants through hawala in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
A police spokesperson said that over Rs three lakh cash was recovered from their possession
Superintendent Police Kulgam, Mubashir Latifi, said that on specific information a naka was laid and three persons namely Javaid Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Kabir of Razloo Kund, Nazir Ahmad Wagay son of Ghulam Mohammad of Mohammad Pora and Manzoor Ahmad Lone son of Mohammad Maqbool of Razloo Kund were arrested. “Hawala money to the tune of Rs, 3.18 lakh was recovered from their possession,” he said.
“The trio used to receive money through the illegal channel on the direction of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Nazir Ahmad Lone who is presently based in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and is a brother of Manzoor,” he claimed.
