More raids on illegal diagnostic centres in coming days | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 6: After conducting the raids on the illegal ultrasound clinics and sealing them, the state Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma is going to raid all the diagnostic centres to check whether they are fulfilling mandatory parameters and serving the society by extending better health care services. Informed sources in the health department disclosed that the health minister has received numerous complaints from the people from different walks of life about hefty charges for clinical tests and is also very angry with non compliance of parameters set by the Health ministry. To verify the complaints and discipline all these centres, the health minister is likely to conduct surprise raids across all the private diagnostic centres to personally monitor their working. According to official sources it has come to the notice of the health department officials that at various centres run across the city untrained manpower has been deployed by the owners and duping patients by putting them at their mercy. The maintenance and equipment put to use by these centres is not up to the mark and during the raids the minister would personally review their working. Sadly during all these recent raids what has remained hidden from even the eyes of the strict minister and intelligent officers is the blatant manner in which owners of these clinics have employed untrained staff at their clinics/centres to run the show. While doing so the greedy owners of the centre are earning huge profits as they dole out less money and at the same time they are also playing with the lives of the patients.
