Bhalla, Sham lay foundation of Rs 3.17 cr PHC at Gadigarh

Jammu, May 6: Aimed at to ease rush in Gandhi Nagar hospital, Minister
for Health, Sham Lal Sharma accompanied by Minister for Revenue,
Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla today laid foundation stone of
2-storeyed Primary Health Centre at Lower Gaddigarh, coming up at an
estimated cost of Rs. 3.17 crore.
Director, Health Ashok Sharma, Director, Family Welfare Rakesh
Khajuria, Mission Director NRHM Yashpal Sharma, Director,
Flouriculture, Kulbushan Sharma, Drug Controller, Satesh Gupta, Chief
Medical Officer, Baldev Raj Sharma besides senior officers of R&B, PHE
and Revenue accompanied the ministers.
Addressing a large gathering, Sharma said that the hospital would be
completed within 20-month with all latest facilities like CT scan,
modern blood bank, toilet blocks, canteen, ultra sound, X-ray which on
completion cater to the healthcare needs of people of Lower Gaddigarh,
Chatha Farm, Chatha Mill, Bhour Camp, Karan Bagh, Suchetgarh, R. S.
Pura and Miran Sahib at their doorstep hospital.
The minister informed that Government has submitted a detailed project
report to central Government for construction of Nursing College and
Child and Maternity hospital on available sites in the city of
temples.
He said coalition government is endeavoring strenuous efforts in
providing all basic amenities to the people of the state like drinking
water, electricity, education, healthcare, road connectivity besides
better lanes and drains adding that there is no constraint of funds in
making Jammu and Kashmir a model state.
Regarding adventure tourism promotion in Bhour Camp, Sharma said that
the work on landscaping, development of nurseries, fencing,
construction of pathways, toilet blocks, mali huts, illumination,
drinking water and irrigation water storage reservoirs, parking and
entry gate plaza involving Rs 13.57 crore is in full swing.
He said the upcoming garden would have variety of flower species,
herbal garden besides nurseries for developing medicinal plants, Tulip
garden, recreational facilities for visitors and other
infrastructures.
He hoped that the place would become a source of major attraction for
the tourists and help in diverting those visiting Shri Mata Vaishno
Devi ji.
Raman Bhalla informed that a Primary Health Centre costing Rs. 1.60
crore is nearing completion at Bhour Camp.
He said that Government has approved Rs. 1.53 crore for construction
of cremation ground at lower Gadigarh near Rohi Morh besides Rs. 1.40
crore have been earmarked for construction of Revenue Complex in Lower
Gaddigarh adding after dedication, the revenue related issues of
locals would be mitigated at their doorstep.
He said a motorable bridge over Balol nallah costing Rs. 1.25 crore is
under progress adding that it would be completed by November this
year. He said that with the completion of it, the distance to
Flouriculture Garden in Bhour camp would be reduced.
