| 100 children participate in Yagnopavit at Brahaman Sabha | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 6- The proud symbol of duties to be performed by everyone who follows Arya Dharama, Yagnopavit, was today organized at Brahman Sabha, Jammu as a part of Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti celebrations by Dogra Brahaman Pritinidhi Sabha.
During this religious ceremony, which is a culture and custom in Hindu tradition more than 100 children participated and wore this sacred thread which is also known as “Janeu”.
The ceremony was also participated by the son of a CRPF Commandant, B.K.Choudhary from Bihar who attended the Hawan along with his grandfather.
The objective of Yagnopavit is thread ceremony was to teach the mankind about the significance of oneness in though, word and deed for leading a peaceful and progressive life. It is one the important Vedic Sanskars which is essential for man’s physical, mental and spiritual development. A person with Yagnopavit should lead a clean and self-disciplined life only than this sacred thread become strong and radiant thus imbibing great moral ethos in human beings.
President of Brahaman Sabha, Ved Parkash Sharma, General Secretary, Shakti Sharma, Dr. Chander Moli Raina, Mul Raj Malhan Shastri and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
