Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial National Karate Championship inaugurated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 6: A two day long Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial National Karate Championship was inaugurated today at Indoor Multipurpose Hall, M.A. Stadium. About 300 participants from different states of the country are participating in the tournament. Madan Lal Sharma, Member of Parliament was the Chief Guest & Chaman Lal Gupta, Hon'ble Member of Legislative Assembly was the Guest of Honour. The championship is being organized by Universal Martial Art Academy (Regd.) in association with Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate Do India Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate Do Association Jammu & Kashmir affiliated by Amateur Karate Do Association Jammu & Kashmir (AKAJK) recognized by J&K State Sports Council and approved by All India Karate Do Federation (AIKF) member of Asian Karate Federation & World Karate Federation (WKF) recognized by Govt. of India & Indian Olympic Association(Ministry of Sports & Youth affairs). The tournament will be conducted under the technical supervision of Shihan Bharat Sharma, General Secretary All India Karate Do Federation AIKF, Chief Representative of South Asian Karate Federation SAKF, Chief trainer of (C.R.P.F), (N.S.G) Black Cat Commandos, ITBP & Assam Rifles. Sensei Lal Darda, Director, AIKF & Asian Level Qualified Referee is specially invited to impart his experience with the state officials & players. Sensei Nawal Dutta & Yogender Chauhan, qualified refrees from Asian karate federation (AKF) & All India Karate Do Federation (AIKF) will be the official Refrees & Judges in the tournament.
