Court acquits murder accused after 6 year Ttrial | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May-07 (JNF):- The 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Vinod Chatterji Koul acquitted Mohd Iqbal alias Bal r/o Nagrota who was facing trial in the murder of Akbar. As per the case the Investigation was found that deceased Akbar married with Raiza Begum about 9/10 years back, from the said wed-lock no issue was born. Accused Mohd Iqbal had illicit relations with the wife of deceased to whom he wanted to marry. He oftenly used to meet Razia Begum. Razia Begum discarded the accused but due to his threat she remained mum because the head strong person. Due to this reason accused had enmity with the deceased and always remained in search of opportunity to kill him. On the mid-night of 11/12 March, 2006, the accused who was in search of chance with plan to kill the deceased, called him toll post and said that a pipe is to be removed from the land and the work is to be done in night and Rs 1800 was agree as labour charges. The accused succeeded to take the deceased Mohd Akbra to the site of occurrence and he put a shawl around the neck of the deceased and killed him. He also pressed the testicles of the deceased. The accused absconded after leaving the dead body there. The accused told the wife of the deceased that he has done away with Akbar now she is ready for marriage otherwise she will face the same fate. After completion of the investigation presented challan in the Court, which the dismissed the Court as the father of the deceased has not supported his initial report on the basis of which FIR was registered and illicit relations with the wife of deceased has also not been established and acquitted the accused from the charges.
