| Inter debate competition held at K C Gurukul College of Education | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 7: K.C. Gurukul college of Education organized Inter-College debate competition under the topic "Education is an Investment". Seven colleges participated in this competition. Prof. G.Q. Sheikh OSD to Minister for higher education was the chief Guest where as Arvind Mahajan Chairman of the College was the guest of prominent honour.
The competition was quite encouraging as the participants defended their opinion strongly and in an imperative manner, considering education as an investment for generations to come one of the speaker said that it like a seed sown today which grows into the trees full of fruits for generation to yield and enjoy the fruit. The recent happenings like leakage of AIEEE papers, fake pilots certificates etc has been the out come of treating education as an investment.
Appreciating the system and fairness of the competition Dr. Sheikh said Education awakens an ignorant mind; it gives humanity the third eye which makes us to differentiate between the right and the wrong. Education means loving your Neighbour as your own family and shares the fruits of true Education.
The first position was bugged by Bhumika Sharma of K.C. Gurukul College of Education, Plaoura and the Second Prize was bagged by Vandana Sharma of K.C. Gurukul College of Education. Third Prize was bagged by Sahil Sharma from NSM College of Education.
The overall trophy was lifted by K.C. Gurukul College of Education.
