| 94 shops alloted in Pampore through lucky draw | | | Jammu, Nov 19
As many as 94 shops constructed by the Housing and urban Development department at Pampore have been allotted among 94 persons through lucky draw today in presence of Member legislative Assembly, Pampore Mr. Zahoor Ahmed Mir.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that several development works have been taken in hand in Pampore constituency out of which some schemes and projects are nearing completion while most of them have been already completed. Mr.Zahoor said that he has recommended several developmental projects and welfare schemes to the government for making the Pampore town beautiful and attractive. He said that these recommendations include repair and renovation of lanes and drains, machadamization of roads, installation of street lights, providing of adequate facilities of electricity and drinking water.
Later, the MLA addressed a large public gathering at Samboora and said that upgradation of Government High School; Samboora to Higher Secondary School would benefit the students of this area.
Mr. Zahoor demanded and has fulfilled long pending demand of the area providing of special seeds of Saffron to the farmers on concessional rates as the major population of this area are directly or indirectly depending on this industry.
Later, a colorful cultural programme was also presented by the students on the occasion. |
