Bhalla cautions people against divisive forces Launches Rs 15 lakh works in Nanaknagar

JAMMU, MAY 07- Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Mr. Raman Bhalla, has said the Government has taken several innovative measures for improving the living standard of the people especially those residing in peripheral areas of the State adding that fulfilling of people’s aspirations and developmental needs is top agenda of the Government.
The Minister was interacting with locals after launching mecademization work on the Nanaknagar road, besides internal links of 3 and 5 sectors, estimated to cost Rs. 15 lakh, here today.
Mr. Bhalla assured the people that all their genuine demands and development needs of the people would be fulfilled in a phased manner adding that there is no constraint of funds in providing adequate basic amenities to the people of three regions. He said the Government was determined to provide better basic amenities to the people of the State adding for this purpose the Government has introduced several modern projects across the State to meet the basic requirements of the people.
The Minister said crores of rupees have been earmarked for construction of new flyovers, tube wells, receiving stations, hospitals, schools and roads aross Jammu city and its peripheries. He stressed upon the concerned engineers and officers to redouble their efforts and accelerate pace on all ongoing works to ensure completion before rainy season. He directed them to use quality material in execution of the works, adding that the objective of the Government is to build durable basic infrastructure for providing better civic facilities to the people.
Mr. Bhalla said that Government has taken some bold and historical steps to rejuvenate overall developmental profile of the State. He said sectors like PHE, health, R&B, education, tourism, power among other sectors have received focused attention of the Government adding it was due to its pro-people policy that the masses at present are benefited by quality education, healthcare, drinking water, electricity and road connectivity.
The Minister said peace is pre-requisite for making Jammu and Kashmir a model State of the country. He said people’s cooperation is imperative for to make the State a prosperous one. He called upon the people not pay heed to the nefarious designs of those who mislead people by false slogans to meet their personal interests. He asked the people to extend their whole hearted cooperation to the Government for maintaining peace and prosperity in the State.
