Health team conducts surprise check, seals Ultrasound Clinic | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, MAY 07- A team of Health Department on Saturday conducting surprise checking of various diagnostic centres and sealed an Ultrasound setup at Canal Road for not having registration of the establishment under PNDT Act. The team of officers, led by Deputy Director Health Dr. T. K. Moza and Assistant Director Dr. B. S. Pathania inspected M/S Treat Well diagnosed Centre at Canal Road and found that the centre was being run without proper permission. The Ultrasound centre was immediately sealed by the inspecting team.
The team also raided Sheetal Shambu, Canal Road & Alfa Scan Ultrasound Clinics at Gandhinagar which were found locked. On enquiry, it was learnt that the owner of Sheetal Shambu centre has expired and the centre was not functioning, while at Alfa Scan Centre a message was conveyed to the owner for appearing before the competent authority. Meanwhile, Director Health Services, Jammu alongwith a team of senior officers of the department today visited Samba and Kathua Districts to conduct inspection of Ultrasound clinics in the twin border districts. To ensure speedy disposal of application received for the registration of Ultrasound clinics in Jammu District, the health authorities has asked Chief Medical Officer, Jammu to conduct inspections of the proposed establishments and place the cases before the District Advisory Committee within three days.
