| Vakil pays rich tributes to Indira Gandhi | | | Srinagar Nov 19 Paying rich tributes to Late Prime Minister, Mrs. Indira Gandhi on her birth day, senior Vice President JKPCC and MLC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil today called upon all political parties of the state to carry forward jointly the peace process for the better future of J&K. He said the best way to pay homage to the leader of millennium, Mrs. Indira Gandhi is that high values of secular India are strengthened and every sacrifice given for solidarity and unity of the country. Mr Vakil was addressing a public meeting at Handwara held to pay tributes to Mrs. Indira Gandhi on her birthday. The others who spoke on the occasion included MLA Sangarma, Mr Shoiab Nabi Lone, General Secretary Congress Mohammand Anwar Bhat and Mohammad Maqbool Bhat. Mr. Vikal stressed for ending violence and creation of peaceful atmosphere for development of the state. It is for the policies and programmes launched and persuaded by Mrs. Indira Gandhi that country has achieved a strong position and respect globally. Mr. Vakil said that Indria had great love for people of J&K and always worked for speedy development and progress of the state. He said people of Kashmir have always loved and respected her as a daughter of Kashmir. MLA Sangrama, Mr. Shoiab Nabi Lone, Mohd Anwar Bhat and Mohd Maqbool Bhat also highlights her policies and progammes on the occasion. |
