| Taj pays surprise visit to Kunjwani, B. C. Road workshops | | Reviews pace of work on Tawi Barrage | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 07, 2011: Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Mr. Taj Mohi ud Din today paid surprise visits to the workshops of PHE Department at Kunjwani and B. C. Road, Jammu. He also visited the site of Tawi barrage to oversee the pace of work.
The Minister directed reviving the activities of these workshops so that they can serve as machinery bank to the Department and all repairs of the Departmental machinery are done here.
Mr. Taj later visited the site of work on Tawi barrage. He went through the portions of works already completed and directed engineers to expedite work on the project so that it is completed before the onset of monsoon.
Chief Engineer, PHE, Jammu, Mr. B. R. Dogra, Chief Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control, Mr. Ashwani Sharma, Superintending Engineers, Mechanical and other officers accompanied the Minister.
