Malik Club wins by 6 wkts in Poonch cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT POONCH, May 07: Malik Cricket Club outplayed Mandi Cricket Club by six wickets in the ongoing Poonch District Level Cricket Tournament under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at Government Degree College, here today. Batting first, Mandi Club bundled-out for meager total of 130 runs in 24.2 overs. Gurvinder Singh was the main scorer with 31 runs in 26 balls with 3 fours and one six while Asad Kazi and Ayaz Wani contributed 23 and 12 runs respectively. Manzoor Ahmed took 3 wickets for Malik Cricket Club while Niaz bagged two.
Malik Club chased the required target easily in 16 overs by losing four wickets, with handsome contributions of 38 and 30 runs by Riaz and Ajaz respectively. For Mandi Club, Sohail took 2 wickets while other bowlers could not do much damage to the strong batting line up of Malik Club. Thus, Malik Club won the match by 6 wickets. Manzoor Ahmad of Malik Cricket Club was adjudged man of the match for his superb bowling display. Rajinder Singh and Devinder Dagur were the umpires while Shazad Ahmad was the scorer.
