| Ishuk emerges district Snooker champion | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 07: Young Ishuk Chowdhary has lifted the coveted Snooker title in senior group in the Jammu District Open Billiards and Snooker Championship underway at Billiards, M A Stadium, here today.
He defeated Mohit Mahajan in a well contested game that lasted for six frames. Losing opening frame, Ishuk fought back and clinched the second to level the score. He then won two consecutive frames to take a commanding position.
However, he lost the fifth frame but it was too late for Mohit to recover. Then Ishuk clinched the sixth and the game also thereby making it 4-2. The score: 43-58, 66-22, 60-30, 53-43, 23-51, 54-51.
Meanwhile, according to the organizers, the senior billiards final shall be played tomorrow between Kamal Rohmetra and Sohail Khalid at 11.30.
