Kranti Dal protest rally against Australian fashion designer

Jammu, May 7 : Kranti Dal organized a protest rally to register anger against the designer dresses designed by Lisa Burke, a fashion designer, who designed her swmisuit and lingerie collection depicting the images of Hindi Goddesses and other religious symbols. The protestors carried placards shouting slogans against the dress designer and also against the Australian Government for its failure to check such activities which hurt the religious sentiments of Indian community.
Speaking on the occasion, Pritam Sharma, general. Secretary and Sankul Gupta, youth President ,said that it had become a routine for the western countries to depict images of Hindi Gods and Goddesses on inner wear and footwear, thus hurting the sentiments of the Hindu People all along the world , knowing well that Hindus have deep have faith and reverence for their Gods.
The speakers also referred to Heidi KJum, a renowned model,who once wore an outfit having Goddess Kali on it for the Halooween. A French shoe brand Minelli had images of Lord Rama on its footwear collection. It was followed by protests from Hindu groups and the shoes have to be withdrawn. Despite many controversies, western fashion refuses to learn from the mistakes in the past and now the Australian Fashion designer Lisa Burke has raised a storm by depicting Hindu Goddesses Laxmi on the front and back on its Bikini Bottom, in the ongoing Australian Fashion Week, they said.
Kranti Dal said that the Indian Government . must take a stern action on this misadventure by the Australian fashion designer and take the matter with the Australian Government failing which a mass movement will be started in the whole of the country with the like minded people.
