| Sarpanch, associate held for "misbehaving" with police | | | JAMMU: A sarpanch and his associate, who were alleged to be inebriated, were today arrested by police for "misbehaving" with Bishnah police station SHO, Inspector Tahir Hussain.
Police sources said Chakwara sarpanch Manohar Lal Motan and his associate Sham Lal today went to Bishnah police station in connection with some work.
At the police station, they allegedly had heated exchanges with the SHO following which the latter arrested them, the sources added.
As they were allegedly drunk, cops also got them medically examined at hospital.
Police had registered a case against them. |
