Khoda hopes of peaceful summer | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 8: Asserting that Jammu and Kashmir Police was ready to deal with any situation, Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda hoped that year 2011 will pass peaceful so that education of students, business activities and tourism isn’t effected like 2010. Khoda said, “I hope that people will cooperate in marinating peace in the Valley as academic year is in its midst and business community have also resumed their activities. Tourist flow is increasing.” “For development peace is must and I hope people will cooperate with police in this endeavor,” he hoped. Khoda who had called a meeting of officers today to review the security arrangements ahead of annual Durbar Move, said, “Fool proof security arrangements have been made for the Durbar Move and to maintain peace police has been kept on alert throughout the Valley.” Khoda urged the police officers to maintain close rapport with general public. “Close contacts with people will help in maintaining peace in the Valley.” Inspector General Police Kashmir Range, S M Sahai, SSP City, Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari and other police officers attended the meeting.
