| Centre liberally funding J&K govt for development: Bhalla | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 8: Central government has provided liberal funding to the state government for developing every corner of state on modern lines adding that government is committed to upgrade the living standard of the people across the State by providing all infrastructural facilities at their doorsteps. This was stated by Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla while addressing large gathering at Kanshipuri Ashram in Lower Gaddigarh after laying foundation stone of multipurpose community hall, coming up at an estimated cost of Rs.1.02 crore, here today. Bhalla informed that the first storey of the hall would be constructed in 371.75 square meter areas and the place dedicated to the people of Lower Gaddigarh in March 2012. He added that on the completion, people of the area could arrange their social as well as religious functions on minimal fee. He said that Rs. 9 crore multipurpose community halls are nearing completion at Barzalla, Bahufort, Shanker Colony, Channi Himmat, Preet Nagar and Gangyal adding that after completion, the populace of the areas would be facilitated especially poor sections of the society. Listing measures taken by government in Lower Gaddigarh, Minister said to ease rush in Gandhi Nagar and main hospitals of city of temples, government has approved Rs. 3.17 crore for construction of 2-storeyed Primary Health Centre adding after completion, the ailing persons of the area and its adjoining localities would be treated there by providing all latest techniques infrastructure facilities at par with Gandhi Nagar hospital like CT scan, modern blood bank, toilet blocks, canteen, ultra sound and X-ray. Bhalla said that coalition government is endeavoring strenuous efforts in providing all basic amenities to the people of the State like drinking water, electricity, education, healthcare, road connectivity besides better lanes and drains. Minister cautioned the illegal occupants to surrender state land voluntarily, otherwise face action adding that government is planning to use the land available at various places for construction of public property like schools, tube wells, over head tanks, roads, bridges, offices, hospitals and multipurpose community halls. Bhalla asked the people to personally monitor the quality of ongoing projects in their respective areas for better results. He informed that government has submitted a detailed project report worth Rs. 300 crore to central government for construction of Bikram Chowk flyover, tube wells, nallahs across Gandhi Nagar constituency besides upgradation of Landoi-Choi nallah adding after approval, projects would be started.
