| ‘MKBT’ award conferred on 24 college teachers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 8: Twenty Four College Teachers have been selected for being conferred with the prestigious Master Karam Chand Best Teacher Award for the year 2010-11, besides presentation of Green Award.
According to press release of the Karam Vidya Education Trust(Regd.) that confers this award each year in cherished memory of Master Karam Chand Ji, the first President awarded Teacher of J&K and recipient of J&K Govt. Life Time Achievement Award, the selection committee has cleared the names of 24 college teachers for this year. These teachers will be honoured at a special function to be organized soon, the release further said.
Besides these, Upender Pachnanada IFS, Chief Conservator Forest Wild Life and Om Parkash Vidyarthi IFS have been selected for being honoured with Prof. Sham Lal Green Award for their laudable invaluable contribution in protecting, preserving and improving the environment and the eco system. These awards will be conferred very shortly in a special investiture ceremony and all the awardees will be informed individually regarding the ceremony, the release added.
