Soz asks Doctors to serve in state instead abroad

Jammu, Nov 19
Saying that Jammu and Kashmir has best talented doctors, Union Minister for Water Resources and Development Prof Saf-ud-Din Soz today called upon the doctors to serve the people of state and prove best sons of the soil instead of going abroad just gaining monitory benefits. He said “government is spending lot of money on your training and it is your moral duty to serve the state”.
Mr. Soz was speaking at the inauguration for attendants waiting hall of emergency unit in Jammu at government medical college here today. He said “I am dedicating the hall to the people on the birth anniversary of Late Prime Minister of India, Mrs. Indra Gandhi”. The hall was constructed with the funds provided by Mr. Soz out of his MPLAD scheme. The hall involves the expenditure of Rs. 9.41 lakh of which Rs 5 lakh have been released and cheque of Rs 3.25 lakh was today handed over to Principal GMC Jammu. He also made a commitment that remaining Rs one lakh for waiting hall would be released soon.
Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma, Minister for Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Secretary Health and Medical Mr. K. B. Jandial, Principal GMC Jammu Dr. Mumtaz Goni and other senior officers of health department was also present at the function.
Professor Soz said “our thrust is to provide better medicare and other facilities to the people at their doorstep”. He stressed upon the authorities for proper sanitation in all the medical institutions of the state, which is the pre-requisite for providing better health care, he said.
Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma stressed upon the doctors and paramedical staff to work with dedication to provide better medicare to the people of the state. Thanking to Mr. Soz for providing funds from his parliamentary constituency funds for GMC Jammu,he requested him to provide some more funds for the welfare of the patients.
Secretary Health and Medical Education and Principal of GMC Jammu also spoke on the occasion.
