| Poonch Cricket: PPCC wins by 7-wkts | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, May 09: Purani Poonch Cricket Club (PPCC) today made it to the next round beating MCC by seven wickets in the Poonch district cricket tournament being organised under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Government Degree College ground, here.
Decided to bat first after winning the toss, MCC made 121 runs in stipulated 25 overs for the loss of nine wickets with Mohd Yousuf contributing highest 33 runs. From Purani Poonch, Jasmeet claimed three wickets while Rahul Raina took two.
Later, Purani Poonch chased the target rather easily in 15.1 overs for the loss of three wickets. Sunil Kumar played brilliant innings of 45 runs studded with five fours and a six. Ankush Luthra contributed quick-fire 17-ball 37 runs including six boundaries.
This match was officiated by Pankaj Sharma and Jyoti Sharma as umpires. The tournament is being organised under the supervision of convener, District Tournament Committee, Pawan Sharma.
