| CS directs complete documentation of CAMPA areas | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 9: Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal today directed complete documentation of areas under use of Compensatory Afforestation Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) of the Forest Department.
Chairing a meeting of the Forest Advisory Committee (FAC) here today, Chief Secretary directed the Department of Remote Sensing to requisition the necessary facilities for the purpose. Chief Secretary also asked the members to furnish the land diversion cases with complete details for the consideration of the FAC in future.
FAC also condoled demise of its former member, Sadiq Ali who passed away recently hailed his contribution in the field of environmental protection. Committee cleared some cases of forest land diversion also. Meeting was attended, among others, by Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Pramod Jain, Commissioner Secretary Forests, Shantmanu, Commissioner Secretary, Finance, Sudhanshu Panday, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, R. D. Tiwari and several heads of departments.
