Ismail Darbar to conduct training classes for winners of ‘Choona Hai Aasman’ | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 9: As promised by Kuldeep Khoda, Director General of Police, J&K during the Grand Finale of talent Hunt for Singers “Choona Hai Aasman”, special arrangement has been made by the Jammu & Kashmir Police for imparting training to all the six (06) winners and one runner-up from Kashmir of the contest in the Junior, Senior and open categories male/female.
Legendry Musician Director/Composer Ismail Darbar and his elder brother Ustad Yasin Darbar will conduct their classes at Mumbai from 15th of May to 13th of June. Music Composer, Shashi Suman will also render help to these youngsters by way of providing music during the learning process.
An officer of the rank of Deputy SP of J&K Police Rajesh Gill has been selected to accompany this group of budding singers to Mumbai and supervise their training and bring them back to Jammu.
Nasir Ahmed Want, a budding singer of Kashmir has specially been selected for the said training programme as he had exhibited excellent qualities in the vocals.
Ismail Darbar who was the Guest of Honour during the Grand finale, had special praise for the junior male winner Amir Khan of District Kathua, Sumit Kumar and Priyanka Langeh, the winners of Senior Male & Female category and Nasir Ahmed of Kashmir who stood 2nd in the Junior category. Priyanka Langay has also been choosen as the captain of the participants numbering seven.
J&K Police has made special arrangement for their boarding / lodging and shall therefore bear all the expenses. Pertinent to mention here that winners of each category were given Rs. 30,000/-, runner-ups of each category were given Rs. 12,000/- and those getting consolation prizes were paid Rs. 5,000/- each.
All the participants have been accordingly informed in writing by the nodal officer of the programme, Israr Khan IPS, SSP Samba for their selection alongwith detail of programme and date of journey and also asked to submit willingness/permission from their parents to send them to Mumbai for the said training.
Infact, the SHOs of the area in whose jurisdiction the selected candidate live were directed by the IGP Jammu Zone, Dilbagh Singh will deliver the selection letters and obtain the willingness/permission from their parents.
However, in case of the junior male winner Amir Khan of District Kathua, SSP Kathua J. L. Sharma had to go personally to village Bhatoda, Tehsil Basohli to convince his poor parents to allow the child to go for this training.
Amir’s father is a wood-cutter and mother works in field to earn their livelihood. Ismail Darbar has predicted that one day the boy with the golden voice will become a super-star and J&K State will be proud of him.
These participants will gather at the office of Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Jammu on 12th of May, 2011 afternoon where they will be briefed properly and introduced with the officer accompanying them to Mumbai for the said training.
Their journey will start through “Sarvodhaya Express” to Mumbai on 13th of May, 2011 at 11 AM. Shri Ismail Darbar will personally receive them at Mumbai Railway Station on 14th and start the training session same evening.
Police will be organizing a show at Srinagar in the last week of June, 2011 where these seven participants namely Vibha Bharti and Amir Khan of District Kathua, Priyanka Langay of District Samba, Sumit Kumar of Poonch, Nikhil and Sonali of District Jammu and Nasir Want of District Srinagar District will sing alongwith the famous singers like Abhijit Sawant, Amanat Ali of Pakistan, Yashita and Raja Hassan, the winners of TVS Saregama and Indian Idol contest. The Event organized by J&K Police has already been declared as Annual Event by Hon’ble CM J&K, Shri Omar Abdullah.
