| Guv’s Secretariat reopens in Sgr | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, May 9 : The Governor’s Secretariat in the Raj Bhavan, here, commenced functioning today. The Secretariat had closed in Jammu on 29 April.
The Governor, N N Vohra, went around the various wings of the Raj Bhavan Secretariat and issued instructions for improved cleanliness, better management of office records, replacement of old electric wiring, enforcement of fire safety measures and adequate maintenance of the lawns and gardens.
The Governor stressed the need for better upkeep of the entire Raj Bhavan estate and promoting the usage of new and renewable energy sources. During the course of his rounds he reviewed the status of the ongoing work in regard to the installation of 20 KW Solar Power Plant and 2000 LPD Capacity Solar Water Heating system at Raj Bhavan.
The Principal Secretary to the Governor, R K Goyal, Deputy Secretary, Vishesh Pal and other Raj Bhavan officials accompanied him during the visit. |
