| Another Rajiv Gandhi Cricket tourney in Jammu | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 09: With 2nd Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Tournament yet to be completed at MA Stadium, another cricket promoter has decided to organize Rajiv Gandhi Cricket League (RGCL) in Jammu.
However, the chairman of the organizing committee of this RGCL event, Dr Rashid Choudhary has something different on his mind i.e. providing a chance to cricketers from rural and hilly areas to excel.
Speaking to the mediapersons here today, Dr Rashid though did not disclose the date of commencement of the competition but informed that the registration for the tournament shall commence from May 20 and the final will be played in October.
Expressing his concern over the limited activities of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) that too focused on urban youth of the state, Dr Choudhary stressed the need for promoting the game in rural belts so as to provide the talented youth a platform to excel.
