Omar inspects Narbal-Tangmarg road project | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 10: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today inspected 24.5 kilometer Narbal-Tangmarg road being upgraded to 4-lanes under the Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme (PMRP) at a cost of over Rs. 116 crore. Chief Minister inspected construction of Narbal bridge involving an expenditure of Rs. 6.93 crores and gave directions for its early completion. Bridge is 142 metre long and is likely to be completed by July this year. Chief Minister also received brief about the 45 metre long Magam bridge and 85 metres long Kunzer bridge on Narbal-Tangmarg road. Chief Engineer, R&B, Kashmir, Nazir Ahmad gave details of the project and said that 94 percent of it has been completed so far and the rest is under completion. Chief Minister underlining the importance of this road project said that it would not only smoothen the ply of traffic fromSrinagar to Tangmarg but facilitate the tourist flow to the world famous tourist resort of Gulmarg.
