| 50 Beekeepers flagged off for 5-day study tour | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 10: Assistant Entomologist Agriculture Praveen Kauser today flagged off a group of 50 Beekeepers and unemployed youth of Jammu district for a five day study tour to outside the State under Horticulture Technology Mission.
Group of Beekeepers and unemployed youth shall visit Punjab Agriculture University Ludhiana, Agriculture University, Palampur, and Horticulture University Solan. During the tour, Beekeepers would also get an opportunity to visit departmental modern apiaries in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh states.
Interacting with Beekeepers and unemployed youth before the departure, Assistant Entomologist emphasized the importance of study tour and urged them to take maximum benefit from the experience. She advised them to interact with scientists and experts of these universities and try to learn latest scientific techniques in beekeeping as Jammu district has immense potential in beekeeping.
