| Defaulters penalized during market checking | | | Early Times Report
DODA, May 10: Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CAPD) department team realized Rs 7000 from various establishments during a surprise market checking, here today.
CAPD team accompanied by executive magistrate and Police conducted surprise inspection of the market and checked hotels, vegetable, meat, general store and other shops and charged a fine of Rs 7000 as fine for various violations.
The local people appreciated the action taken by the District administration and urged that such type of inspections should be conducted on regular intervals in the interest of the consumer.
The inspection team comprises Naib Tehsildar Executive Magistrate 1st Class Doda, Mr Ghulam Hassan, Tehsil Supply Officer CA&PD Department Doda Mr Shoukat Hussain Shapoo, besides Parvez Ahmed and Javaid Iqbal Sheikh, officials of CA&PD, Sanitary Inspector Doda and Sub Inspector Police Station Doda.
