Condolence meet held

JAMMU, May 10: A condolence meeting was held in NCP office under the Chairmanship of state NCP chief Thakur Randhir Singh to condole the death of prominent journalist O N Koul .
In a condolence message Singh conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the members of bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the grieved family.
Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh recalled his close association with O N Koul right from 1962-63.
Koul was a outstanding journalist, a committed socialist and his economic write ups were widely published in the leading economic newspapers in the country. Singh said that Koul’s contribution to various English newspapers in the state and his pen’s uprightness will always be remembered in the years to come.
Thakur described Koul a brilliant journalist with an analytical mind particularly expert on economic and financial matters, a committed secularist and a trusted friend, his death has created a void which is very difficult to be ever filled said Thakur.
