5/10/2011 10:50:21 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 10:
All Jammu and Kashmir State Pensioners Association today staged a protest against the alleged irregularities in the Traffic Department.
Addressing the protestors, general secretary of the association Madan Lal Abrol alleged that RTO has totally failed to check the buses, Matadors, trucks, Tata Sumo and other vehicles plying on the roads.
He further blamed that the transport authorities are following traffic movement on those roads, which are not fit and fair for the traffic movement. Moreover, the concerned authorities are issuing driving licenses to untrained drivers, who drive the vehicle in an unchecked manner and have the passengers above the capacity of the vehicle leading to more accidents that are occurring on the state’s roads.
Abrol further warned the government to release the arrear of 6th pay commission of senior citizen’s in one installment.
