Amarnath yatra will commence on June 15: Mahant Rameshwar

Jammu, May 10:
A joint press conference of Mahatmas was organised at Geeta Bhawan Jammu regarding the commencement of Baba Amarnath Yatra which was addressed by Mahant Rameshwar Das Ji. While speaking on the occassion Rameshwar Das Ji said that the yatra of Baba Amaiarnath Ji shall commence on 15th June from the auspecious Jayeshth Purnima and culminate on 13th August on Sharawan Purnima.

He said that about 1000 ( One thousand ) Saints and Mahatmas shall participate in this annunal pilgrimage and will lead the first batch of Amarnath Yatra along with the devotees from all across India which shall be organised by BABA Yatri Niyas as SASB has shown its incapability to statrt the Amarnath Yatra from 15th June and is adament to start it from 29th June 2011.

Mahant Rameshwar Das Ji while speaking on the occassion said that Amarnath Yatra is a symbol of secularism and national integration as not only hindus but people from all religions participate in this yatra. He said that people who are willing to participate in this yatra from 15th June 2011, should register themselves on www.amarnathyatriniyas.org, the official website of BABA Yatri Niyas.

Rameshwar Das ji has asked SASB to reconsider its decision to commence the Amarnath Yatra from15th June 2011, the auspicious Jayeshth Purnima keeping in consideration the growing number of devotees and a practice which has been going on uninterruptidly since 2004.

Mahant Dutt Giri from Samba anb Mahatma Ram Bhikshu Ji from Udhampur were also present in the press conference.
