NSF demands ALC category for the border area youths | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 11: Being attracted towards the work done by National Secular Forum (NSF) towards society particularly for the benefit of student community, a large number of youth particularly the youths from the border areas joined the National Secular Forum in presence of its state president Vikas Sharma and district chairman Surjit Chowdhary at state office in Jammu.
Students in large number from border areas like Nai Basti, Gharana, Aria, Nai Basti Gulabgarh, R.S.Pura, Bishnah, joined the National Secular Forum.
Vikas Sharma president welcomed the youths. Youths from the border areas appraised the problems being faced by the students in these areas as the schools in these areas lack infrastructure and faculty.
Vikas Sharma said that problems being faced by the youth in these areas should be give top priority and apart from this the youths from the border areas should be given preference in government jobs and other services.
He said that where ALC category is given to the youths who are putting up near line of control, the youths belonging to border areas should also be the quota.
District Chairman Surjit Choudhary, also addressing the YOUTH and asked the Government to implement the Right to Education Act-2009 in the state of the J&K without any change in the Provisions of the.
He warned the Government if Right to Education Act-2009 is not implemented as it is, he is going to write to the Government of India to stop the Grant-In-Aid for the entire Sarv-Shiksha-Abhiyan and the State Government shall be held Accountable for this.
Choudhary also said that the youth of the Jammu should come forward and fight for the cause of Jammu region, for which NSF is the only alternative.
