| HC stays lower court order | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 11: High court judge, Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain has
ordered to stay the proceedings against Dhan Singh in an alleged
bribery case.
The court directive came today in a petition filed by Dhan Singh,
challenging the order of special judge anti-corruption, Jammu,
whereby a direction was given to SSP, vigilance organization, to
register a case against the petitioner and submit the action report
in misappropriation of Rs 96,900 in NREGS.
Justice Hakim issued notice to state vigilance organization and
SSP, VOJ, returnable within two weeks and ordered that in the
meanwhile, proceedings in the complaint before SSP, vigilance
organization, Jammu, should remain stayed till next date of
hearing.
