2 killed, 12 injured in road mishaps | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, May 11 : Two persons were killed and seven others, including four soldiers injured when a private truck, carrying Army supply, skid off the road and fell into a stream in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district today, police said. The mishap took place near Zab-Khurhama village, about 115 km from here, when the driver of the truck, enroute to Khurhama Army camp from Sharant post, lost control over the vehicle and fell into a stream, they said. While the driver and an army porter died on the spot, three porters and four army jawans sustained injuries in the mishap, police said. The injured were rushed to a Military Hospital in Kupwara, they said. In another accident, a car hit a motorcycle in Zakoora area of summer capital Srinagar Wednesday afternoon, resulting in critical injuries to the motorcycle rider who was immediately admitted to a hospital. Four other people were injured when a motorcycle and a mini-bus hit pedestrians here in separate accidents. A car turned turtle on the road near Awantipora town of south Kashmir's Pulwama district, some 30 km from here, causing injuries to the vehicle's four occupants.
