| 3 killed, 25 hurt in road mishaps | | | JAMMU: Three persons were killed and 25 others wounded in separate road accidents here today.
An unidentified man was killed after a speeding vehicle hit him near Purmandal. His body was kept in the hospital mortuary for identification, police sources said.
In a Santro car accident at Bantalab near Nagrota in the evening, Sonu of Udhampur was killed and Pankaj, Anil, Rashpal, Sunny, Shamsher and Ajit, all residents of Udhampur, were wounded. The injured were admitted to GMC hospital.
In another incident, Devi Singh was killed and 10 others were injured when a jeep in which they were travelling skidded off the road and rolled down in a gorge near Chenani in Udhampur.
The injured were hospitalised.
Nine persons were injured when their vehicle rolled down into a gorge at Mendhar in Poonch. They were admitted to hospital.
Cases in this connection were registered at the concerned police stations.
