SRINAGAR, MAY 12- Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand today stressed on speeding up execution of drainage, sewerage and beautification works taken up in Srinagar city under different urban development schemes.
Chairing a meeting of senior officers here, the deputy Chief Minister stressed on using quality material to ensure durability of the assets thus raised. He said in view of tourism season ahead it is imperative to complete beautification projects well in time in Srinagar city, which he said is the face of Kashmir valley.
Minister for Rural Development Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar, Principal Secretary, Urban Development Mr. Suresh Kumar, Vice Chairman, LAWDA Mr. Irfan Yaseen, Vice Chairman, Srinagar Development Authority Mrs. Dilshada Khan, commissioner SMC, Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad besides other senior officers participated in the meeting.
The Deputy Chief Minister called for prioritizing works, adding spill over works need to be given priority before launching execution of new projects. Bottlenecks if any must be removed by forging co-ordination among various departments. For the purpose, he directed for arranging inter departmental meetings periodically.
