| Self rule, autonomy irrelevant: BJP | | |

Making a scathing attack on PDP and NC for raising the bogey of ‘self rule’ and ‘autonomy’, the BJP described both the demands as irrelevant and hollow.
Addressing party activists at a meeting held here today the District BJP President Samba Sham Choudhary said the conflicting voices being raised by these parties have been instrumental in encouraging the militants and described the self- rule and autonomy as irrelevant. He said the state was already enjoying greater autonomy and was being governed by its people and the question of accepting these demands does not arise.
Criticizing the coalition government of its failure in fulfilling the promises made during last Assembly elections the BJP leader said that no development work worth the name has been taken in remote and far- flung areas including R S Pura. He said the problems of the people are increasing with every passing day and the government was watching all this as mute spectators.
The party claimed that on this occasion several Congress and NC workers joined BJP at the meeting.
