| Parvez, Ajaz power YCC to emphatic win | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, May 13: The duo of Parvez and Ajaz Khan today propelled Youth Cricket Club (YCC) to a big 149 runs win over SCC Mendhar in the ongoing District Poonch Cricket Tournament under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Government Degree College, here.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, YCC made 214 runs losing all their wickets in 24.2 overs of the 25 overs match. Parvez played magnificent innings of 69 runs facing only 21 deliveries with the help of six hits over the fence and seven boundaries. Mukhtar Bhatti contributed 29-ball 37 runs including five boundaries and a six. Qamar and Pankaj took three and two wickets respectively from SCC Mendhar.
Later, SCC Mendhar could not chase the total and the whole side bowled out for just 66 runs in 14.4 overs. Masoom Raza was main contributor with 17-ball 21 runs. From YCC, Ajaz Khan bowled brilliant spell taking away three wickets for just eight runs in four overs. Akhil and Aftar shared two wickets each.
For his superb batting, Parvez was declared man of the match. Today’s match was officiated by Pankaj Sharma and Manik Shah.
