| Delay in installing of Jammu Central University inviting public ire: SRS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 13: All the members of Shri Ram Sena, Jammu Kashmir have listed their great resentments against the administration for not making any efforts to install the Central University in the Jammu province which is hanging fire for the last more than one year.
While speaking in a meeting held by the members of the Sena under the chairmanship of its state president Rajiv Mahajan, a spokesman has said that the Central University was supposed to function in Jammu province earlier i.e. before it was installed in Kashmir province.
He said that the government of Jammu and Kashmir has deliberately made the delay for the installing of the Central University in Jammu province in the interest of the students belonging to the Jammu province with one reason or the other.
The reason of which the students of Jammu University are facing many difficulties to seek their admission in the Central University to be installed in Jammu province as it is causing great injustice to the people belonging to the Jammu province.
He said that the government of Jammu and Kashmir is giving the step-motherly treatment to the people of Jammu region.
While speaking in the meeting Rajiv Mahajan has said that there are well educated, experienced and intellectuals in Jammu province who are quite eligible to hold the chair of Vice Chancellor but the government of Jammu and Kashmir seems not to be interested for the appointment of an individual from the Jammu province, as a Vice Chancellor, thus making delay for the installation of Central University.
He said when the government of Jammu and Kashmir had proposed the name of a Kashmiri individual for the appointment of the Vice Chancellor for which the people of Jammu region had objected, for not giving a chance for the appointment of an individual as a Vice Chancellor belonging to the Jammu region, thus causing delay for the installation of the Central University in Jammu province.
Rajiv Mahajan, has warned the administration of the government of Jammu and Kashmir for not to make delay for the appointment of a Vice Chancellor from the Jammu region in the Central University of Jammu failing which the Shri Ram Sena, Jammu – Kashmir shall be compelled to start an agitation against the non implementation of the installation of Central University in Jammu province against the risk and responsibility of the J&K government.
