| Sheikh accuses government of manipulating crowds on state expenses | | | JAMMU NOV-19 Coming down heavily on the coalition government for its failure in fulfilling the promises made in the Common Minimum Program and keeping in check the rising prices, the Samajwadi President Sheikh Abdullah Rehman said that the government was deriving political mileage by manipulating crowds of children on state expenses. Addressing party activists here today, Sheikh alleged that after having failed to fulfill the promises made in the CMP, the Congress led Government is now diverting the attention of the people in gathering crowds on state exchequer and blatantly using official machinery in the name of late Nehru and late Gandhi. He said though he favoured celebrating Children’s Day in respective institutions but strongly opposed deriving political mileage by gathering crowds of children on state expenses. The SP leader said that the tall claims of development being made by the government nothing was visible on the ground and the corruption, nepotism and unemployment continue to be on the rise and the rising prices of essential commodities, what he said, have broken the ‘back bone’ of the common man. Rehman accused Central Government of abusing the constitutional office of the Governor by contemplating dismissal of Mulayam Singh led Government in Utter Pradesh and appealed the countrymen to remain vigilant against the deceptive policies of Congress led UPA Government.
