| Development not acceptable at the cost of poor farmers: Shaoib Nabi Lone | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 13:To condemn the Utter Pradesh government’s action Youth Congress staged a protest at Pradesh Youth Congress headquarter Moulana Azad Road Srinagar.
During the protest demonstration held under the leadership of President Pradesh Youth Congress Shoaib Nabi Lone, youth congress activist burnt the effigy of Uttar Pardesh government.
Youth Congress workers staged protest and condemned the government’s action and shouted slogans against Mayawati. Defending their leader’s action of supporting farmers, the protesters demanded an apology from Mayawati. They also said that Mayawati would be taught lesson by voters at right time for her anti-farmer stand.
While addressing the Shoaib Nabi Lone said that the attitude of UP government is highly condemnable, he said that no injustice will be tolerated and farmers should be given proper compensation.
While demanding removal of Mayawati from her seat, Lone said that the way UP government has acted is totally undemocratic and they have no right to rule the state. He further said that youth Congress is not against the development but that should not be carried at the cost of poor farmers. He said that farmers should be given adequate compensation.
