KPC concerned over deterioration of temples in Valley | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 13: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has expressed grave concern over the deterioration of shrines and temples in Kashmir Valley and negation of its passage in State Assembly. The issue was raised during an extra-ordinary meeting of KPC held today under the chairmanship of Kundan Kashmir. Various other issues including present political scenario of Valley, burning problems of displaced Kashmiri Pandit persons besides organizational matters were also discussed threadbare in the meeting. The members also discussed problems of KP youth which include age relaxation, one time financial assistance of Rs 25 lakhs and enhancement of cash relief and other issues. This meeting also expresses unhappiness over the failure of state government to trace out the KP Youth Sushil Raina who is missing for the last one month from his locality in Anantnag District. While discussing the organizational issues it was discussed to expand the organization at State Level in order to accelerate the activities of KP Community in the State. The meeting decided to hold a peaceful sit-in-protest near Press Club tomorrow to press the State Government for the passage of Shrine Bill and mitigate the problems of youth. The members appealed all Kashmiri Pandit biradri to join this peaceful sit-in-protest.
