| ITI Principals showing exemplary performance in placement of trainees, would be awarded: Dir TE | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, May 13: Saurabh Bhagat Director Technical Education (TE) J&K along with team of officers inspected renovation and construction work being executed in the institute Budgam the other day.
He asked agencies to speed up the work and complete the work soon. Engineering wing of the department was asked to undertake an assessment of the work actually done against the funds allocated by the department so that an estimation of the further financial requirements could be made.
The Director went around different section of trades functioning in the institute and interacted with the trainees who desired to undertake industrial visits for their technical exposure.
This was agreed upon by the Director and instructed the principal to make the necessary arrangements in this regard. With regard to the upgradation of the trades, the Director advised to have the obsolete equipment/furniture replaced and said workshops would be modernised.
It was also decided that manufacturing activities will be initiated in the ITI having ready market.
Bhagat instructed principals to ensure placement of maximum possible trainees in and outside the state. He said that awards will be given to principals of ITIs showing exemplary performance in the placement of trainees and the development of quality Website.
. Bhagat also advised the principal to have an assessment of the foundation of the existing structure made by the PWD authorities so that, if it is feasible, an additional floor could be raised on the existing structure to make room for the introduction of further courses in the institute.
