| KC Gurukul organises investiture ceremony | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 13: KC Gurukul Public School, Paloura today organised an investiture ceremony.
The guard of honour welcomed the arrival of chief guest and rest of the programme was carried out by two Young scholars of the school, Sunidhi and Aryan as comparers.
A warm welcome was extended to one and all occupying the hall during the formal ceremony. The house system and prefectorial body of the school runs on the democratic pattern. The students elect their leaders through secret ballots. The Bal sadans (small children up to class 3rd) have four groups named after flowers: Lily, Lotus, Daisy & Rose. Whereas, the middle school and the secondary classes have four distinct houses namely:
Mother Teresa, Swami Vivekananda, Rabinder Nath Tagore, Subhash Chander Bose. On the occasion, the oath taking ceremony was administered by the school Principal, Dr B.R. Dogra, and the office bearer were honoured by chief Guest as well as chairman of the school, Arvind Mahajan and Vijay Puri, the Academic director of the School. The Children enthralled the Crowd, through the group dance and the school song, in a blissful manner.
The Chief Guest blessed the newly appointed office bearers to become resourceful leaders of future for this great nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Academic Director Vijay Puri stressed upon the parents to spare some time for their wards, which shall help them to gain self confidence.
