| Cross-voting in LC polls: DB allows dasti notice to BJP MLAs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 13: A high court division bench of Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain and Justice Sunil Hali today allowed and ordered to serve dasti notice to 11 BJP MLAs in alleged cross-voting by seven of
them in the recently conducted legislative council elections.
The court directive came in a public interest litigation filed by SOS International, a registered NGO.
The DB said that advocate general was directed on April 26 last to place on record the stand of the state government in the matter. As the AAG, who appeared for the state, sought one week’s time for the
same, the DB directed to list the case on June 6 next.
