Is NC purchasing loyalty of Jammu-based MLAs by allotting flats? | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 13: Is the ruling NC bribing some of the Jammu-based legislators belonging to the non-NC-Congress in order to purchase their loyalty and use them to neutralize the patriotic forces in Jammu province and weakening their empower-Jammu movement? It is a very serious question and don’t be surprised if someone may say so, yes, there are elements in the ruling NC who are exploiting their official position and obliging or bribing some Jammu-based MLAs for purposes not really pious. There are trustworthy reports that certain elements in the NC, who enjoy certain special powers by virtue of the office they hold, have obliged a particular Jammu-based legislator by allotting in his favour a big public residential building and enabling him to become member of Amar Singh Club, Jammu. Reports suggest that someone in the NC has allotted quarter number 11 in favour of the said MLA and the “big house is located in New Rehari, Jammu. Reports suggest that the said legislator belongs to the BJP, who already owns two big houses in the Panjteerthi area of Jammu. It is very serious matter. It is a serious matter all the more because the MLA allegedly belongs to the BJP, which says day in and day out that it stands for the Jammu’s empowerment, as also for the state’s complete merger with India. It is for the BJP leadership to come clean and assure the people of Jammu province that it doesn’t indulge in politics of opportunism and that it holds the Jammu cause very dear. It has become absolutely necessary in view of the fact that the people of Jammu province are already very angry with the BJP. The reason: The dubious role seven out of eleven BJP MLAs played during the legislative council elections.
