SCS, RTG hold condolence meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, may 14: Shivani Cultural Society(SCS) and Rangshala Theatre Group (RTG) in a joint meeting held today condoled the demise of Badal Sircar, the legendary dramatist of the Bangla origin to whose credit stand great works of international significance. Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Sharma general secretary SCS said that the legendary playwright was the first source of inspiration for his Group whose plays performed by the Society fetched many state academy awards. Shiavni Cultural Society performed Sircar’s ‘ Ant Nahin, Baki Itehas, Bari Buaji in different state academy drama festivals that brought best plays, best direction, best actor and best actress awards to the Society for many simultaneous years. Vikram also spoke on his contribution to the national drama idiom and said that Badal Sircar was an epitome of the concept thematic drama that immediately recognized with the transitioning phases of the world order. Rangshala president Umesh Singh who had performed his Pagla Ghora and Sari Raat and took home accolades and honours from state academy in theatre competition put it as a great loss to society and mankind. A two minutes silence was observed by the artists present that included Sanjay Gupta (director SCS) Naresh Abrol, Raveesh Mengi(president Lakshya), Shiv Kumar Himanshu Darshan, Aaditya Bhanu, Raj Bhagat, Abhishek Magotra , Rahul Gupta, Neha Lahotra, Reetu Manhas and Harmeet Kour.
