Another banquet hall sealed by JMC | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 14: Under instructions from S C Sawhney, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu, the enforcement staff led by Chief Enforcement Officer while further intensifying and continuing the drive against the violations sealed a Banquet Hall namely Bharat Palace of Rumit Sharma S/o Dharamveer at Narwal, Bye Pass Road near Malik Market, Jammu which was being run unauthorizedly.
The said sealing operation has been conducted with the help and co-operation of Police force from Narwal Police Post and from District Police Lines, Jammu.
Besides this, while continuing the drive against the adulteration of milk the Municipal Veterinary Officer along with field staff visited the areas of Maheshpura, Bakshi Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Talab Tillo, Muthi, Roop Nagar etc. During the drive 95 milk cans were checked, out of which one milk can which was of sub-standard quality / not fit for human consumption was destroyed on spot.
The team had also lifted 16 stray animals from the areas of Amphalla, CPO Chowk, Panjthirthi, Jewel Area, Gumat, Bahu Fort, Narwal, Transport Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Satwari, Nai Basti, Kunjwani, Greater Kailash, Sanjay Nagar, Nanak Nagar etc., and impounded the stray animals in Municipal Cattle Pound.
A total fine of Rs. 5430.00 was charged from the erring milk vendors and owners of stray animals. Also while continuing the extensive Sanitation Drive launched by the Jammu Municipal Corporation a team of Senior Officers & subordinate field staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation inspected ward 59 and 66 and took stock of the sanitation work being done by the Sanitation staff as a part of sanitation drive in these wards.
